Armenian government launched implementation of anti-cyclical financial policy, limiting increase in minimum salary by AMD 2500, according to the head of parliamentary committee on financial and crediting issues Gagik Minasyan.
“The percentage of minimal salary increase is clearly lower than that of inflation. However, salary increase of 15, 18 and 10% for cultural sector, benefits and pensions, envisaged by 2011 state budget project, will allow mitigating inflation pressure,” Minasyan noted.
At October 7 session, the Armenian government approved amendments to the RA law on minimum salary envisaging AMD 2500 raise, to total AMD 32 500 instead of previous AMD 30 000.
