The government is allocating five billion baht to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that suffered from the political violence, Deputy Finance Minister Pradit Phattaraprasit said on Friday afternoon.
He said this after meeting with the management of SMES Development Bank and senior officials of relevant state agencies.
The deputy minister said the assistance will cover all areas affected by the red-shirtsrally and the events of May 19.
If needed, the Ministry of Finance would ask for additional funds from the cabinet meeting next Tuesday, Mr Pradit said.
