Phooko is in the country to learn from reforms being implemented by the government to improve service delivery. He has visited Huduma Centres which have become a learning point for many African countries in enhancing public service delivery. “It is an impressive initiative and we have learnt a lot for the time we have been here. It makes you feel what it means to be served by dedicated servants”, said Phooko.
Kenyatta said Kenya is ready to share its experience in public service reforms with Lesotho and every other country that needs to learn from it. “We will support you in your reform process and I hope this visit bears frutis”, said President Kenyatta.
Phooko was also interested in the use of biometrics to manage the problem of ghost workers in the civil services.
