The mobile version of Parliament’s website allows citizens to access information about Parliament at their convenience and will meet the demand for real-time information requests by citizens. Mobile communication will make it easier for citizens to participate in Parliament and will reduce the cost of doing so.
The mobile version of Parliament’s website will also provide users with a portal to Parliament’s other digital platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Mobile accessibility is important because there is still a digital divide in South Africa, and mobile interconnectivity is bridging this gap.
The Parliament mobile website makes it easier for anyone, wherever they may be, to easily access the most popular information, previously only available on the full website.
