Employee Volunteer Week provides a platform for showcasing the achievements of corporates and their employees who volunteer, as well as profiling the important social contributions of the beneficiary organisations hosting volunteers during the week.
CAF Southern Africa works to complement the volunteering aspirations of companies and their employees, with the real needs of organisations, so as to enable a ‘win-win’ situation for all stakeholders and participants.
CAF Southern Africa’s ultimate aim is to strengthen the work of the non-profit sector. On a daily basis we witness the growing need for skills and resources within the sector. While monetary contributions are vital to the sustainability of non-profit organisations (NPOs) there is also a huge need for in-kind resources and skills transfer.
The objectives of EVW are:
• To increase, encourage and improve the impact of employee engagement in Communities
• Raise the public profile of volunteering and philanthropy, particularly highlighting the contributions of corporates
• To facilitate practical cooperation between corporates and NPOs in regard to the developmental potential of volunteering
CAF Southern Africa is able to facilitate projects for as small or as large a group of volunteers as required by the client and ranging from a one-morning once-off project in one location to national projects in multiple centres over a series of days.

South Africa: Employee Volunteer Week Campaign Employee Volunteer Week EVW is a campaign initiated in 2005 by CAF Southern Africa to encourage corporate employee volunteering in communities EVW takes place annually during the month of March The theme of Employee Volunteer Week 2013 is ‘Give of yourself it’s the best gift you will ever receive.’ We are inviting all South Africans to give of themselves in a manner that celebrates the rights of all people in our country and affirms the democratic values of human dignity equality and freedom
