CLAD and the Government of Colombia, through the College of Public Administration (ESAP) in coordination with the Department of Public Administration (DAFP), are pleased to announce the celebration of the "XVII International Congress of CLAD on State Reform and Public Administration " which will take place in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, from October 30 to November 2, 2012.
Plenary lectures
During the event, three renowned experts will give lectures plenary, these include:
Paulo Roberto Motta
Professor Holder Escola Brasileira de Administração Business Post and the Fundação Getulio Vargas. Brazil
"Managing for new development: proposals and ideas in search of relevance"
Joan Subirats
Professor of Political Science and Research of the Institute of Government and Public Policy of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Spain
"New Times, Any new Public Policy? Exploring ways to respond"
Michael Barzelay
Professor of Public Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). United Kingdom
"Innovating public management education for public sector, Strengthening and modernization"
Methodology
Proposals for panels shall cover any of the seven thematic areas specified below and your approach should be guided by the conceptual characterization and the central questions that arise for each of them.
Thematic Areas will be coordinated by relevant external professional career who, along with the Academic Committee of CLAD, and serve on the Evaluation Committee will select the proposals relating to their area. These Subject Area Coordinators also attend the panels in their area and formulate a set of conclusions that will be displayed at the closing session of Congress.
Registration
Any participant in the Congress (coordinator, assistant panelist or free) must pay the relevant registration fee. To qualify for a discount on it, should be forwarded electronically to the CLAD until September 21 (extended to 8 October for payment only through Paypal) , duly completed, the " Registration Form "with payment of tariff. After the date referred to, the accreditation and payment of fees should be made directly at the seat of Congress.
