Project "Housing Earthquake Safety Initiatives (HESI)"
Project Goals & Objectives:
HESI aims to improve the structural safety of houses to provent damage and safeguard people's lives, property and livelihood from earthquakes through effective implementation of building safety regulations.
The objectives of the Training Workshop are:
- To provide participants with practical knowledge on construction of earthquake-resistant buildings in compliance with provisions of the Indonesian building code and other proven safe practices;
- To familiarize participants with simple retrofitting techniques and their importance; and
- To enable participants to carry out simple material testing and vulnerability checking.
