||Jul 18, 2013
||Venue: Cnr 12th Avenue & Avro Avenue, Kensington, Western Cape
||The Kensington Home for the Aged is situated in Kensington in the Western Cape. The Home provides a safe haven and full time care for 110 aged residents, many of whom are frail and chronically ill. Most of the residents are drawn from very poor communities and sadly many of their relatives seem to have forgotten them. Their fellow residents in the Home are now the only family which they have.
The Home struggles to make ends meet as they are dependent on a state subsidy and the goodwill of benefactors.
Corporates, organisations and the general public are invited to spend Nelson Mandela International Day at the Home. Benefactors are kindly requested to consider the following donations which will improve the quality of life for our residents:
Any entertainment or just offering up some of your time to chat with our residents will make a big difference.
