Premier John Horgan released the following statement in honour of B.C. Multiculturalism Week, Nov. 12-18th:

“British Columbia is the most diverse province in Canada.

“Our history has been shaped by the people who have come together to build B.C., and our lives are enriched by the inclusive, multicultural society we are so lucky to live in.

“Multiculturalism week is an opportunity to celebrate the contributions of multicultural groups and communities that make life better in B.C. every day.

“It’s also a reminder of how important cultural diversity is to creating a strong and vibrant social and economic future for British Columbia.

“Our government will continue to champion the values of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect. And we will work to make life better for every person, in every community.”
