Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera and his Lithuanian counterpart, Juozas Olekas, agreed Tuesday on the need to share information on cyberattacks, including destructive system intrusions and computer virus infections.

During their meeting in Tokyo, Olekas told Onodera that cyberattacks are a common threat. Onodera replied that Japan and the United States are cooperating in developing measures against cyberattacks.
