A National Investors Council has been created in Kazakhstan.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the Council of Entrepreneurs meeting this week: "In 'Strategy - 2050' we denoted domestic business as the main source of domestic investments. Correspondently, I think it is important to strengthen the role and status of our Council. I decided to convert it to the National Investors Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan."
According to him permanent working groups led by co-chairs will be established under the new status of the Council. The Ministry of Regional Development is to be determined as the main working body.
"I am instructing the Government to introduce new draft regulations and proposals on the Council's composition over a month. Today, together with you, we have identified and discussed new problems. The position of the state is supporting domestic entrepreneurs. This is the first economic goal. I believe that Kazakh businessmen will support these initiatives and increase the contribution, " the head of state said.
