The percentage of high school students promised employment as of Oct. 31 rose 2.3 percentage points from a year earlier to 60.9 percent, the education ministry has said.
The Education, Culture, Sports and Technology Ministry surveyed about 194,000 high school students who are set to graduate in March. Of that number, about 118,000 had secured employment, according to the survey.
