Scholars teaching or studying South Korean law overseas have launched an overseas Korean law research network.
The Korea Legislation Research Institute held a ceremony in Seoul to commemorate the launch of the Korean law research network with around 20 Korean law researchers from the United States, Britain, China and Australia in attendance on Friday.
The institute said that thanks to its successful experience as a developing nation, South Korea has an upper hand in exporting legal institutions compared to the U.S. and western European countries. It promised continued support for the transfer of legal institutions to transition and developing nations and their research.
