Nepal: ADB to Grant Rs. 946m for Water Project |

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide grant assistance of around Rs. 946 million (US$ 11 million) to the government for the implementation of Water Resource Project Preparatory facility.
The agreement to this effect was signed between Lal Shankar Ghimire, Joint Secretary and Chief of the Foreign Aid Corporation Division, Ministry of Finance and Kenichi Yokyama, Country Director of Nepal Resident Mission on Friday with the objective to improve the water resources management projects.
Ministry of Irrigation will be the executing agency of this project while Department of Irrigation will be the main implementing agency.
The estimated cost of the project is US$ 13.8 million and the government will invest around US$ 2.8 million for the project.
