The country’s Infocomm Development Authority has awarded the Government Cloud tender to Singtel for five years, with an option to extend for another five years.
Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) has awarded the Government Cloud (G-Cloud) tender to SingTel for five years, with an option to extend for another five years.
The announcement was made by Ronnie Tay, CEO of IDA. SingTel will deploy and maintain the infrastructure within the contract period.
A whole-of-government Private Cloud, G-Cloud is expected to deliver cloud services to government agencies with prescribed security assurance.
The G-Cloud services are expected to be rolled out by the end of this year.
SingTel also won a cloud services bulk tender to offer public cloud services to the government. The contract is valid for two years, with the option of extending the contract for another year.
