If you're a commuter who needs to be permanently connected while on the go, the cities of Asia are for you.
That's the finding of a new report from the New Cities Foundation, which surveyed subway systems around the world for mobile internet access and found that to be online, it's best to be in Asia.
Commuters in South Korea and China could log on while riding 100 percent of the subway systems surveyed in those cities, the New Cities Foundation said, with Asian commuters in general able to go online in 84 percent of major subways.
That compares to a global average of just under 60 percent in the 121 cities of more then 750,000 people surveyed.
By comparison, if you live in North America, there's just a 41 percent chance that you'll be able to log on while rattling through the tunnels, the second lowest figure in the world, behind Eastern Europe and Central Asia at 25 percent.
In the European Union, 56 percent of commuters can check their emails underground -- in Latin America, the figure was 57 percent and in the Middle East, just under 67 percent.
