The Nepal government launched ‘Hello Government’, a desk to collect feedback on policies and performances under various government bodies on Monday. 17 October 2011.

Apart from toll-free telephone numbers and fax, an SMS and email service has also been set up to collect messages from the public. The 24-hour Hello Government desk will be installed at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministries.

Pursottam Khanal, Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, said the service has been highly acclaimed by the people and many people are calling.

“We are getting very nice response from the people for this innovative project,” Khanal said.

As per the received complaints, necessary action will be taken immediately to the concerned persons, ministers or any government offices.
