Nepal: Govt to Launch ‘Hello Govt’ Desk for Public Feedback

The government is set to establish ‘Hello Government’, a desk to listen to people's feedback on the policy and performance of various bodies under the government.

The government has arranged toll free telephone numbers 1111 and 1110, and a fax, to hear genuine complaints and suggestions regarding the policies and performance of the various bodies of the government including the office of Prime Minister, ministries and the Council of Ministers, RSS said.

Ordinary people will have their say over SMS as well. All the message of the public will also be recorded.

The government has also passed a ‘Hello Government Desk Operation Directory- 2068’ to launch this service. The government will also receive the memorandum and institutional demands once the service comes into operation.

The desk to be installed at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministries will be run 24 hours a day and seven days a week under the supervision of a joint secretary.

The four-shift desk will have a five- member team including an Under Secretary, two persons in telephone and one in computer and one as an assistant.

According to the PM’s office, the preparation to launch the service is in final phase and will come into operation soon.
