Togo Secures Chinese Loan for Huawei E-Government Network |

Togo has secured a USD 25 million loan from China Exim bank to finance
the deployment of an e-government network, Republic of Togo reports. The
fibre, equipment and training will be provided by Huawei. The 20-year
loan carries a 2 percent interest rate and includes a 5-year grace
period. China Exim already loaned the country USD 165 million in
September 2009 to upgrade its road and telecommunications
infrastructure.
