A new report has found that the number of internet users in five emerging economies, including Indonesia, China and India, will nearly double by 2015.

Researchers from the Boston Consulting Group also say the way people access and use the internet in those countries is quite different to that of the developed world. Instant messaging and social networking sites are extremely popular and people are more likely to use their mobile phone to go online than buy a PC. But there is still a vast divide between the digital haves and have-nots, and it's one that the Indonesian government is trying to rectify.
