A new Pacific Quality Mark is being developed to promote goods from Pacific Island countries.
The project is being run by the Pacific Cooperation Foundation.
Foundation chief executive Markerita Poutasi says she hopes the trademark will cultivate more opportunities for Pacific exporters in the New Zealand market.
"When you see it on a product - people say, great, it's a quality product from the Pacific, and we know it's quality because they've been assessed on business practices and product processes.
"It's largely for the New Zealand market initially," Ms Poutasi said.
"And we're looking at three core sectors, fresh produce, long-life products and spa and natural beauty products."
