Land Minister M Rezaul Karim Hira said here on Thursday that government would soon bring the digitalised land management and the registration activities on a single platform, reports BSS.
"This initiative has been taken to ensure ownership of land side by side with stopping harassment during registration corruption," he said while speaking as the chief guest at an advocacy workshop on ''Reform in Property Registration System and Bangladesh''s Upgradation in the IFC List''.
IBFB organised the programme, presided over by IBFB President Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury. The function was also addressed, among others, by State Minister for Law Advocate Qamrul Islam, said an official release. The land minister said the government would digitalise the land management and registration process in phases to simplify the ownership on land. "There are complications in land records as the forefathers'' ownership on lands was not updated in the registration process for long," he said.
