UNPAN-RCOCI is greatly honored to release a series documents on women issues and gender studies as tributes to the 100th International Women’s Day. The female population accounts for half of that of the world. Accordingly, women issues are of great significance to the development of the world, in the areas of political, economic and social sphere.
Carefully selected, the series covers gender issues from Asia-Pacific region with more than 10 countries, from Mongolia in East Asia to India in south Asia, from Tonga, Fiji, etc. in Pacific to Bhutan in Southeast Asia. With a variety of documents, including country profiles, case studies, and analytical reports, topics of the series range from women status to violence against women, and from women in local government to gender democracy. What’s more interesting, some researches combine women issues and ICT studies perfectly, which are perfect examples of interdisciplinary studies for those who are interested in gender studies as well as ICT development.
Titles of the documents are listed below. Click on what you are interested in and enjoy your readings.
