He noted that financial instruments need to strengthen the ways like Maseru Security Market (MSM) are present hence should be put to good use.

Dr Majoro said for private sector to invest in the country, there has to be investment package that must include information which will allow them to know their clients well so to make informed decisions.

Again, he said government has to put aside M100 million to engage in feasibility studies in order to be able to determine the outcomes of the projects beforehand.

He said they plan to make citizens budget which will engage more pictures and simple language using all the mediums such as social media in order to communicate with more Basotho.

When analysing 2018/2019 Fiscal Budget a South African Research Analyst; Global Markets Ms. Reezwana Sumad said this is an ideal time for Basotho to sell their country to the world.

She highlighted that this year's budget has been constructed under extremely difficult times, commending the Ministry of Finance for being able to control recurrent expenditure.

She stated that the state has done a good job to engage private sector and allowing the ministries to stop working in isolation.

Ms. Sumad said if this approach is well implemented, it will bring high cooperation and save some costs while also addressing the challenges that Lesotho is faced with.

She noted that confidence and policy certainty leads to economic growth, saying planning and consultations are vital, however should not delay the implementation.

She said to reduce the wage bill, government should allow private sector to draw some of the employees.

Also speaking, Nedbank Chief Operations Officer (COO), Mr. Seabata Ntelo pledged their support to the government of Lesotho as private sector, saying they intend to be more instrumental in ensuring proper implementation of this year's budget.

However, he urged government to improve supply-payments process in order to ensure that it happens within short period of time.

The 2018/2019 Fiscal Budget was presented in the National Assembly by the Minister of Finance Dr Majoro.
