The women ministers include Faith Muthambi, Susan Shabangu, Nosiviwe Mapisa- Nqakula, Edna Molewa, Nomvula Mokonyane, Angie Motshekga, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Dipuo Peters, Bathabile Dlamini, Mildred Oliphant, Lynne Brown, Lindiwe Sisulu, Tina Joemat- Pettersson, Naledi Pandor and Lindiwe Zulu.

The Deputy Ministers are Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, Zoe Kota-Hendricks, Thokozile Xasa, Ayanda Dlodlo, Fatima Chohan, Barbara Thomson, Hlengiwe Mkhize, Ellen Molekane, Maggie Sotyu, Noma-India Mfeketho, Pam Tshwete, Candith Mashego-Dlamini, Sindi Chikunga, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, Rejoice Mabudafhasi, Elizabeth Thabethe and Thembi Majola.

In the previous administration, there were a number of women ministers including Tina Joemat-Pettersson, Lulu Xingwana, Angie Motshekga, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, Dipuo Peters, Naledi Pandor, Connie September, Mildred Oliphant, Lindiwe Sisulu, Bathabile Dlamini, Edna Molewa and Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.

There were also many female Deputy Ministers including Hlengiwe Mkhize, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, Sindi Chikunga, Gwen Ramokgopa, Fatima Chohan, Zoe Kota, Sue van der Merwe, Ayanda Dlodlo, Thoxile Xasa, Maria Ntuli, Thandi Tobias, Pam Tshwete and Rejoice Mabudafhasi.

The previous Cabinet had 34 Ministers and 33 Deputy Ministers.
