African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) is currently holding the 34th Roundtable Conference at the Zanzibar Beach Resort in Zanzibar Tanzania.
The plenary and concurrent sessions will focus on the dynamics of performance management for improving public service in Africa. the sultan of Zanzibar is expected to officially open the ceremony while Kenya School of Government Director Prof. Magarret Kobia is to deliver the keynote address.
Wednesday will be one of the highlights of the conference as the innovative management awards will be presented to the top five governments and institutions out of the 48 submissions. Favorites include Kenya- this was documented in the Nation Daily Newspaper in support to the Kenyan delegation- led by Permanent Secretary ministry of State for Public Service, Titus Ndambuki who is also AAPAM vice president in the East African region. others include Ghana, South Africa and Rwanda to mention a few. AAPAM Secretariat wishes best of luck to all the nominees.
