SADC ministers also reviewed the execution of the plan of activities since the last summit, held last August, and the programme implemented by the organisation’s Secretariat, among other subjects.
The meeting of SADC Council of Ministers precedes 31st Summit of Heads of State and Government set for 17-18 August.
The SADC Summit is happening under the theme "Consolidating the bases of regional integration, infrastructure development to facilitate trade and economic liberalisation.
SADC comprises Angola, South Africa, Botswana, DRC, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

South African Delegation in Luanda The South African delegation arrived on Monday evening in Luanda to attend the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Southern Africa Development Community SADC which started on 15 August The delegation is comprised by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Botemat Pettersson Vice-minister of Public Administration Ayanda Dlodlo and senior staff of both ministries On Monday SADC Council of Ministers analysed the organisation’s finances the regional integration process the level of implementation of programmes in the ambit of the African Union and NEPAD as well as the southern Africa’s strategy to mitigate the consequences of the world financial crisis
