Since 09h00 on Friday 28 May, a total of 100,000 tickets have been sold.

As of 14h00 on Sunday, 14 matches are no longer available, including the Final, the Semi-Finals and the 3 Group Games of Bafana Bafana.

Of the 100,000 tickets, about 53,000 have been sold through FNB branches, 30,000 through Internet and call centres, 13,500 through the FIFA ticketing centres and 3,500 through Shoprite/Checkers.

“We are getting very close to a 97 % average attendance, something which corresponds to the figures of Germany in 2006. We are very happy with the way fans have responded and we are sure that we will all enjoy a fantastic FIFA World Cup”, said Jérôme Valcke, FIFA’s Secretary General.
