DMB/DPADM and Kazakhstan’s national communications agency will conduct a three-day training workshop in Astana concurrently with the 2014 Global e-Government Forum. The workshop is aimed at government officials at both the national and regional levels, as well as select civil society representatives, and will utilize a survey tool developed by DMB as part of its Development Account Project – the Measurement and Evaluation Tool for Engagement and e-Participation (METEP).
The objective of the workshop is to gauge the level of e-Participation readiness in Kazakhstan and to raise awareness of the technologies used for citizen engagement. Concrete policy recommendations will be given based on the results of the METEP self-assessment guide, with a view to the future implementation of policy changes on e-Participation.
METEP certificates will be awarded for participation in the three-day programme.
