Employment Opportunity - Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Consultants
DPADM is seeking two international consultants in connection with the 10th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Annual Meeting, to take place in João Pessoa, Brazil, 10-13 November 2015. The consultants will be responsible for documenting separate “Best Practices” sessions of the meeting as well as preparing substantive papers related to the sessions.

Commonwealth e-Governance Forum 2015
The Commonwealth e-Governance Forum 2015 will take place 24-25 March 2015 in Kigali, Rwanda on the theme of Smart Governance through Networked Government. The event will showcase innovative e-Governance services, examine new technologies and facilitate knowledge exchange. Key topics covered include open data for transparent governance, e-health, e-voting, m-governance and cloud services for governance. Speakers from DPADM/UNDESA will discuss the theme of E-Government for Sustainable Development: the Road Ahead.

Accountability for Sustainable Development

There is a growing recognition of the necessity to involve Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in the national implementation of the post-2015 development agenda. Given their independence, SAIs are uniquely positioned to serve the public by promoting effective public governance. Their role was also put in the spotlight on 2-4 March during the 23rd UN/INTOSAI (International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions) Symposium, held in Vienna, Austria.

e-Discussion on the 2015 ECOSOC Theme
You are cordinally invited to join the e-discussion on the 2015 ECOSOC Theme of “Managing the transition from the Millennium Development Goals to the sustainable development goals: What it will take”. The e-discussion will take place 17 February to 17 March 2015. 

The purpose of the e-discussion is to engage policymakers, experts, practitioners and stakeholder groups in a global dialogue on specific aspects of the 2015 ECOSOC theme. It consists of four concurrently running thematic windows, each led by an expert moderator. The thematic windows address: i) policy choices and mindset change for an integrated agenda;  ii) adaptation by institutions and structures; iii) partnerships for the implementation of the SDGs and the post-2015 agenda; and iv) monitoring and review.  

The e-discussion is co-ordinated and organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). The DESA/Office for ECOSOC Support and Coordination is leading the e-discussion for DESA, with substantive support provided by the DESA/Division for Public Administration and Development Management.

Call for Workshop Proposals
  The Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Secretariat is issuing a call for workshop proposals for the IGF 2015 meeting. Interested individuals and entities are kindly asked to submit workshop proposals through the online form which will be available on the IGF website from 9 March 2015. The deadline for submission is 30 March 2015. Meanwhile, workshop proponents are invited to consult the template of the submission form, the Guidelines for workshop proposals, as well as the MAG workshop review and evaluation process.

Cash Collection and Investment Policy - 2014/2015
The council of the municipality is the trustee of the public revenues, which it collects, and it therefore has an obligation to the community to ensure that the municipality's cash resources are managed effectively and efficiently. The council therefore has a responsibility to invest these public revenues knowledgeably and judiciously, and must be able to account fully to the community in regard to such investments.

This Revised Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan (SDBIP) was produced from the Office of the Administrator in terms of section 53 of MFMA. The revised SDBIP was developed after the adoption of the revised budget 2013/2014. Every effort was made to ensure that facts are correct.
