Call for Proposals: Citizen Focused Frontline Service Delivery
The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) invites all South African government departments/municipalities (national, provincial and local) and other institutions in partnership with a department/municipality to apply for funding under this call themed: Citizen Focused Frontline Service Delivery.

Applicants are required to submit a short concept note in response to this call. Should a private service provider and/or civil society organisations wish to participate, it must be done in partnership with a government department/municipality that will act as the lead applicant.

South Africa: SA to Participate in Youth Policies Global Forum
Deputy Minister in the Presidency Buti Manamela will attend the first ever global forum on youth policies, which is scheduled to take place in Baku, Azerbaijan. The forum will take place from 28 - 30 October 2014. The Presidency on Sunday said the Global Forum takes place at a time when South Africa is in the process of drafting the National Youth Policy (NYP) 2015-2019 to build on the NYP 2009-2014, which will come to term at the end of this year. South Africa is one of the 122 countries of the 198 that have adopted a National Youth Policy.

South Africa: SA Embraces Business-Class Video
More than two-thirds of South African enterprise decision-makers believe that business-class video is making a positive impact on organisational productivity. New research by Cisco highlights that, while early attempts may have been slow to take off, the majority of South African organisations (69%) today believe business-class video (technologies that allow people from different locations to view and talk to each-other using HD video cameras, monitors and microphones) could positively impact their organisations. The demand for business-class video is also very high amongst respondents with 69% believing that this technology would have a positive impact on their organisations. They believe that the greatest benefits would be the savings on travel costs and the improvement of relationships with geographically dispersed colleagues.
