| Description: |
When you are out on a hike, or on the road, and you experience that wonderful natural encounter ... immediately record it.  You can add color later (a description, or a photograph) but record it then and there.
With the WildObs Observer iPhone application you can capture what/where/when with a few touches, and easily record details of your experience. Uploading those encounters to your WildObs database, when back in wireless or cellphone signal range, is automated.
How would you use it?
- Use it to record your personal wildlife life-list?
- Guide fellow nature lovers (young and old) to wildlife spots you know?
- Do citizen-science in your region?
- Share that once-in-a-lifetime or funny encounter?
Information about the iPhone Application:
- Automatically uses your device''s location services (GPS or otherwise) to determine your encounter''s location.
- Works off-line for those remote locations. (Downloads species lists & images for fast/offline browsing.)
- Stores your favorites and recent species. Allowing you to add species not yet in the database.
- Synchronizes with WildObs upon your return home.
- Posts into the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) Twitter stream
