2014 Global e-Government Forum, Astana, Kazakhstan, 6 to 8 October 2014
  The Division for Public Administration and Development Management (DPADM) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), in partnership with the Agency for Communications and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is organizing the United Nations Global e-Government Forum 2014, which will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on 6-8 October 2014. This high-level event will feature the 2014 UN e-Government Survey Award, a number of highly interactive parallel capacity-building workshops, a ministerial round-table and study tours.

UN e-Government Survey Online Training Course Launched
With the recent publication of the UN e-Government Survey 2014, UNDESA has created an online training course to serve as a useful supplement to the biennual Survey. Through this online training course, the learner is introduced to the fundamentals of the Survey as well as its more complex elements. Upon completion, the user will not only have a Certificate, but also a greater insight into the goals of the Survey.

DPADM is seeking multiple consultants for the project on Strengthening of Capacities of Developing Countries to Provide Access to Information for Sustainable Development through Open Government Data (OGD). The project objective is to demonstrate the potential and benefits of using OGD in advancing transparency, accountability and sustainable development in selected countries of Latin America and East Asia regions.
