AAPAM 36th Conference

The African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) in partnership and close coordination with the Ministry of Public Service and the Modernization of Administration of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the  Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) are organizing the 36th Annual Conference of AAPAM, in Rabat, from 2 to 6 March, 2015, on the following theme: Effective Partnership  for Citizen Centred Sustainable Development. More than 300 participants representing 30 African States are expected to attend this important Conference which will be an excellent opportunity to assess what has been done so far by AAPAM and set up a Road map for the future.

Sedibeng Policy, Processes and Procedures
Sedibeng District Municipality in recognising its community orientation; and the need for good governance; has developed a transparent and codified internal control system aimed at promoting its core District Objectives. Compliance with the codified best practice will ensure that the limited resources at the disposal of Sedibeng District Municipality will be focused towards serving the various stakeholders in the pursuit of their interactions with Sedibeng District Municipality both efficiently and aligned to approved budgets and broader financial policies of Sedibeng District Municipality.

South Africa: The Service Delivery Driven Setsokotsane Programme Implemented in North West
The successful implementation of the service delivery driven Setsokotsane programme in the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati district is an affirmation of the province’s pursuit of the National Development Plan’s goals, says North West Premier Supra Mahumapelo. Speaking at a government employees’ meeting on Tuesday, the Premier reiterated the province’s quest for improved and sustainable livelihoods.

South Africa: Roll-out of Paperless Classrooms Progressing Well
Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi is satisfied with progress made in the roll-out phase of the Paperless Classroom for Grade 12 learners across the province, says the Gauteng Department of Education. This, after the department recently installed smart interactive boards in 375 identified schools in the province, provided learners with tablets and educators with laptops. The department on Wednesday said it would also re-furbish classrooms and make them e-ready. The Switch On for the interactive boards was launched last week.
