AAPAM 36th Conference

The African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) in partnership and close coordination with the Ministry of Public Service and the Modernization of Administration of the Kingdom of Morocco, and the  Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) are organizing the 36th Annual Conference of AAPAM, in Rabat, from 2 to 6 March, 2015, on the following theme: Effective Partnership  for Citizen Centred Sustainable Development. More than 300 participants representing 30 African States are expected to attend this important Conference which will be an excellent opportunity to assess what has been done so far by AAPAM and set up a Road map for the future.

Call for Proposals: Citizen Focused Frontline Service Delivery
The Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) invites all South African government departments/municipalities (national, provincial and local) and other institutions in partnership with a department/municipality to apply for funding under this call themed: Citizen Focused Frontline Service Delivery.

Applicants are required to submit a short concept note in response to this call. Should a private service provider and/or civil society organisations wish to participate, it must be done in partnership with a government department/municipality that will act as the lead applicant.

Ehlanzeni District Municipality Accounting Policies to the Annual Financial Statements
The aim of the policy is to set accounting standards in line with good international financial practices. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Standards of Generally Recognized Accounting Practice (GRAP) and the Standards of Generally Accepted Municipal Accounting Practice (GAMAP) prescribed by the Minister of Finance in terms of: ? General Notice 991 of 2005, issued in Government Gazette no. 28095 of 15 December 2005; and ? General Notice 992 of 2005, issued in Government Gazette no. 28095 of 7 December 2005.

Ehlanzeni District Municipality Affirmative Action Policy
The objective of Ehlanzeni District Municipality's Affirmative Action Policy, within the framework of the applicable legislation, are to: 1. Enhance the capacities of the historically disadvantaged through the development and introduction of practical measures that support their advancement within Ehlanzeni district Municipality. 2. Inculcate in Ehlanzeni district Municipality measures designated to further diversity in the workplace based on equal dignity and respect for all people; 3. Remove all forms of discriminatory practices based on race, gender, disability, age and language so as to achieve equity in Ehlanzeni district Municipality; 4. Design and implement Programmes that will empower employees at all occupational levels in particular the designated groups; 5. Examine and modify traditional management styles and empower management to manage diversity; 6. Accelerate the intake and empowerment of designated groups at all occupational levels; 7. Give particular attention to gender representivity at all levels; 8. Make employment more accessible to persons with disabilities; and 9. Address the uncertainties and fears generated by the transformation process.
